Hello, my name is Maggi!
I grew up in Sonoma County and have loved and cared for animals for as long as I can remember. I’ve always been surrounded by dogs and horses, I started riding and competing and fell in love with being an equestrian. Like many equestrians I always had dogs, but I wanted more, I wanted to be able to help someone. I was introduced to volunteering for Canine Companions for Independence as a puppy raiser. It was there that I developed a passion for training dogs. As I got older, I continued to compete horses and started learning how to train working sheep dogs, agility, and obedience. I gravitated more towards handling dogs and started working at a local kennel where I was introduced to grooming and discovered a new passion in animal care.
I’ve now been grooming professionally for over 7 years and opened Best In Show in 2014. I believe it is important to keep honing my skills by taking grooming courses, going to seminars, and taking private lessons. Ultimately, my goal is to become a Certified Master Groomer and I am currently training to reach that level.
When you come to visit us at Best In Show, you will be greeted by a welcoming committee of cats and dogs. We are a family owned and operated grooming salon and we appreciate that your pet is a valued family member and we promise to make them feel safe and comfortable during their groom.
